A Catedral Basílica de Curitiba distribuiu nota de esclarecimento nesta quarta-feira (4) para desmentir que tenha ocorrido uma manifestação política durante a missa das 18h do último domingo (1º). Segundo a nota, assinada pelo pároco da Catedral, cônego Elio José Dall’Agnol, um áudio tem circulado em grupos de WhatsApp de fiéis informando que o celebrante teria lido uma carta da Conferência Nacional dos Bispos do Brasil (CNBB) “com teor favorável a um determinado partido”. Após a suposta leitura da carta uma mulher teria se pronunciado a favor do atual governo sendo ovacionada pelos demais presentes.
De acordo com a nota, ambos os fatos são falsos. “Esta Catedral Basílica afirma que tal fato não aconteceu, nem a leitura de uma carta da CNBB e tampouco a ovação ao Presidente da República”, diz o texto, que tem o que tem o aval do arcebispo Dom José Peruzzo. Segundo a assessoria de imprensa da Arquidiocese, os fiéis que receberam o áudio ligaram para a igreja para confirmar a veracidade da gravação. Diante a polêmica, diz a assessoria, a Catedral Basílica optou por divulgar o esclarecimento. Confira a íntegra da nota abaixo.
