Diariamente 32 casos de suicídios são registrados no Brasil, sendo que nove em cada dez poderiam ser evitados de acordo com a Organização Mundial da Saúde. Nesta terça-feira (10), Dia Mundial de Prevenção ao Suicídio, o Centro de Valorização da Vida (CVV) de Curitiba promove uma programação especial inteiramente gratuita, a partir das 9h30. Uma palestra sobre o tema, apresentações musicais e distribuição de mil balões amarelos em alusão ao setembro amarelo constam das atividades, que contarão com a participação da Camerata Antiqua de Curitiba e da Banda Lyra Curitibana.
O evento começa na Praça Santos Andrade, em frente as escadarias da UFPR, e termina na Capela Santa Maria com o concerto da Camerata Antiqua, às 10h30. A Banda Lyra fará a caminhada com os participantes e voluntários do CVV até a capela, onde haverá a palestra da psicóloga Claudiane Araújo, antes do concerto. A apresentação da Camerata Antiqua faz parte do programa Música pela Vida, que neste ano passou a celebrar importantes datas do calendário da saúde.
Há quatro anos, o CVV vem espalhando os balões amarelos como forma de alerta e conscientização da prevenção ao suicídio. “O suicídio é um problema social grave”, comenta Antônio Carlos Vilela, diretor de comunicação do Centro de Valorização da Vida. Segundo ele, a informação é o melhor meio de diminuir os casos. “Se fingirmos que o problema não existe, perdemos o controle sobre ele, o desconhecimento faz com que o problema aumente”.
O primeiro passo para quem sente que está com problemas emocionais é buscar ajuda profissional e apoio. Para isso, o CVV mantém o número 188, gratuito para qualquer região, com voluntários para atender e dar todas as informações necessárias a quem está propenso a tirar a própria vida.
