A princesa Benedikte, irmã mais nova da rainha Margarethe II da Dinamarca, fará uma visita a Curitiba nos dias 22 e 23 deste mês. A programação vai incluir uma visita a um Farol do Saber e Inovação, onde ela irá conhecer o espaço no qual estudantes de escolas municipais criam protótipos em impressoras 3D. Ela também deverá participar de uma recepção oficial no Memorial de Curitiba e conhecer o lar infantil Dona Vera, em Santa Felicidade. Desde 2010, o Instituto Princesa Benedikte adotou o lar que abriga crianças retiradas da guarda dos pais pela Justiça. Entre as recentes ações desenvolvidas pelo instituto em prol do lar está a construção de um novo espaço físico para as crianças.
A visita da princesa foi acertada no último dia 4 durante encontro entre o prefeito Rafael Greca e o embaixador da Dinamarca no Brasil, Nicolai Prytz, na prefeitura. “Vamos mostrar para sua alteza iniciativas de Curitiba em áreas como educação e cultura”, disse Greca na ocasião. Ele também reiterou ao embaixador o desejo de estreitar o intercâmbio cultural com a Dinamarca, o fortalecimento de parcerias empresariais e o compartilhamento de experiências de sucesso em áreas como governança, inovação e cidades inteligentes.
