Reinaldo Bessa
O senador Oriovisto Guimarães (Podemos) recebeu nesta segunda-feira (17), na Assembléia Legislativa, o título de cidadão honorário do Paraná. Proposta pelo deputado estadual licenciado e secretário do Desenvolvimento Sustentável e Turismo do estado, Marcio Nunes (PSD), a homenagem reuniu autoridades dos três poderes, além de colaboradores, professores e alunos do Grupo Positivo, instituição da qual Oriovisto foi um dos fundadores, em 1972. “Nem em meus sonhos imaginei que este dia aconteceria, ser reconhecido pelo meu Paraná, estado em que passei toda a minha vida. Tudo que construí foi aqui. Receber este título de cidadão honorário, com a presença do governador, dos meus dois colegas senadores, deputados e autoridades do Judiciário, é uma honra imensa e motivo de grande orgulho”, afirmou o senador em seu discurso diante do plenário lotado.
Participaram da sessão solene os senadores Alvaro Dias (Podemos) e Flávio Arns (Rede); o vice-governador Darci Piana, o presidente do Tribunal de Justiça, Adalberto Jorge Xisto Pereira, o vice-prefeito de Curitiba, Eduardo Pimentel; o presidente do Tribunal Regional Eleitoral, desembargador Gilberto Ferreira, e o secretário chefe da Casa Civil, Guto Silva, entre outras autoridades, além de familiares, funcionários do Grupo Positivo e amigos do senador.
Para o governador Carlos Massa Ratinho Junior, aliado de Oriovisto, sua história é a de um homem de muita luta, que veio de baixo e construiu um grande projeto educacional. “Como senador tem ajudado muito nosso estado, se empenhado em políticas públicas e com posicionamento em favor do país. Era o mínimo que o Paraná poderia fazer, reconhecer uma pessoa que se tornou paranaense e construiu toda a sua vida profissional e familiar no estado”, disse.
Oriovisto Guimarães foi um dos fundadores do Grupo Positivo, que presidiu por 40 anos, tornando-o um dos principais grupos educacionais do Brasil. Nascido em Batatais (SP), veio para o Paraná aos três anos de idade e morou nas cidades de Bela Vista do Paraíso, Mandaguari, Apucarana e Curitiba, onde cursou Economia na UFPR. Militante de esquerda na juventude, deu aulas particulares de matemática até iniciar carreira como professor de cursos preparatórios para o vestibular. Em 1972, junto com colegas professores, fundou o Curso Positivo, que deu origem ao grupo hoje formado pela Posigraf, uma das maiores gráficas e editoras do país, a Universidade Positivo, da qual foi fundador e primeiro reitor – cargo que ocupou durante dez anos – e a Positivo Informática, maior fabricante brasileira de computadores. Em 2006, tornou-se membro da Academia Paranaense de Letras.
Em 2012, Oriovisto Guimarães deixou a presidência do Grupo Positivo e passou a dedicar-se discretamente à política. Seis anos depois, aos 72 anos, disputou sua primeira eleição, para o Senado Federal. Começou em terceiro lugar e terminou em primeiro, com 2.957.239 votos, tirando da cena política o até então imbatível senador, ex-governador e ex-prefeito de Curitiba Roberto Requião (MDB), o favorito no pleito.
